About Us

The Northeast Harbor Sailing School was founded in 2002 for the purpose of expanding a tradition of teaching sailing that was first begun by the Northeast Harbor Fleet more than 50 years ago.

Operating from the club facility on Gilpatrick Cove, the Northeast Harbor Sailing School is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to instructing students in the life long sport of sailing. Programs are available to both members of the Northeast Harbor Fleet and the greater Mt. Desert Island community.
